How the estimate works
Product value is quantity × supplier unit price. The simple duty estimate is product value × duty rate. All other order-level costs are added, then divided by ordered or expected usable units.
Keep recoverable import tax separate from permanent landed cost, and add low, base, and high scenarios for freight, exchange rates, examinations, delay, and defects.
